What is NexPro Sealer, and how does it work?
NexPro Sealer is a high-performance solvent based sealer that protects surfaces by creating a durable, invisible barrier. Its advanced formula repels water, dirt, UV rays, and various types of staining agents, ensuring surfaces stay clean and last longer.
What surfaces can NexPro Sealers be used on?
NexPro Sealers are versatile and can be applied to stone, tile, porcelain, ceramic, brick, concrete, metal, painted metal, plastic, wood, vinyl, rubber, and glass.
Where do I locate the instructions on how I should apply the NexPro Sealer?
Go to the Data Sheets category on the website, scroll down to the Application Guidelines, and look for the XP product you will be using. Each NexPro product has its own instructions on how to apply to the various surfaces it covers. We have simplified the process to allow for an easy application offering different methods and leaving it up to you to decide which one is best for you.
How long does NexPro Sealer last?
NexPro’s formulas offer long-lasting protection, outlasting traditional sealers. Longevity depends on the application, environment and surface, but many users report protection lasting several years.
Is NexPro safe to use on food-contact surfaces?
Yes, NexPro is safe for kitchens and food-contact surfaces once fully cured. Always follow curing instructions in the Application Guidelines to ensure safety.
Can I use NexPro Sealer outdoors?
Absolutely. NexPro is designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, including UV rays, rain, and extreme temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor surfaces like siding, patios, roofs, facades, windows and outdoor furniture.
Does NexPro Sealer change the appearance of the surface?
We give our customers a choice. Except for the XP-2900 (A+B), NexPro Sealers are designed to dry clear and not alter the surface’s appearance when applied correctly. We also offer the customers the ability to change the look of the surface from matte to gloss or gloss to matte if they desire a new look. The XP-2900 (A+B) will work as an enhancer bringing out the natural beauty of the surface.
How do I clean a surface treated with NexPro Sealer?
Cleaning and maintenance are simple. NexPro Sealers offers the XP-M which is compatible with each sealer offered. The Application Guidelines for this product can be found under the Data Sheets category on the NexPro Sealers website. The XP-M will work hand- in-hand with the sealers to ensure proper protection. Other cleaning products may have abrasives that will break down the sealer over time.
Can NexPro be used in high-traffic or industrial areas?
Yes, NexPro is perfect for high-traffic and industrial applications due to its durable and protective properties. It performs well in areas like warehouses, commercial kitchens, and workshops.
Can I reapply a NexPro product if needed?
Yes, reapplication is easy. Simply clean the surface and apply a new coat as per the product Application Guidelines found on our website under the Data Sheets category.
Can I change the look of my surface using a NexPro product if I wanted to?
Yes, NexPro Sealers allows you to dry clear or enhance the surface using XP-2900 (A+B) bringing out the natural beauty. If you want to change the look of your surface from a matte finish to a gloss finish or a gloss finish to a matte finish, NexPro Sealers can assist by looking at the labels or our 1000 series and 2000 series. Each product has a “M“ or a “G” indicating Matte or Gloss finish. This will allow you to decide how
you want to finish your product.
Can I remove the sealer after applying it?
Yes, you can. Simply refer to the Application Guidelines on our website, which include instructions for removing buildup from surfaces. The same method applies to removing the sealer itself.
What kind of coverage will I get when applying the NexPro Sealer?
Please see our Coverage Chart on our website for each product. The final outcome for coverage is based on how the product is applied, environmental conditions and the type of surface. Each surface has a different porosity rate and therefore impacting total coverage.
What type of equipment do I need when applying a NexPro product?
On our website, under the Data Sheets category are the Application Guidelines for each product offered. Within the guidelines, the types of tools and protective equipment are indicated.
How environmentally friendly is NexPro Sealer?
NexPro is formulated to be low-VOC and eco-friendly, making it a safer choice for both users and the environment.
What sets the 1000 and 2000 series apart?
It’s all in the advanced technology! While our 1000 Series already outperforms the competition with superior sealing capabilities, our 2000 Series represents a breakthrough in next-level innovation, delivering unmatched performance backed by cutting-edge science.
How do I know which product to use?
Simply visit our website’s home page and refer to our product selection chart to select the appropriate product for your surface.
What is the maximum temperature NexPro products can withstand?
The XP-1000M and XP-1000G can tolerate temperatures up to 900°F before breaking down, while the XP-2000M and XP-2000G can withstand temperatures up to 500°F and the XP-2500 up to 392ºF.
Can NexPro Sealers be applied to flooring?
Yes, our XP-2900 can be used on various types of flooring. However, it has not yet been rated for Coefficient of Friction (COF). For highly porous surfaces, two coats are required. Always test in a discreet area first to ensure the color and finish meet your expectations.
